i think it should have ended when he admitted he was a crack head.... didn't we learn anything from bush, who also was a coke head? how can they sit in the white house with a clear conscience while people waste away in prison for doing the same thing they did?

Pro-life is a charged term. One can be pro-life but still favor abortion rights. Just as one can be pro-choice but still dislike abortion. Liberals, despite the caricatues drawn by the Pro-life movement, don't looooove abortions. Fortunately, Obama's comment had nothing to do with that.
What Obama was saying is that a measure of responsibility has to be taken by the African American community for the problems that pervade that community today. He is in a unique position among the candidates to be able to raise that point and it's important message regardless of race or party. There are too many kids growing up without daddys, of every race.

I understand that lot of voters base voting on one topic.
How wrong can this be, when one topic is not what being a President is all about.
There are lots of topics as Pro-life, conceal carry, and the death sentence that needs to dealt with by your own moral standards. Rather than forcing the majority of the people to except a few people ideas. When people feel they need laws to regulate the majority, then they should work with all the people to change the laws. Not just one, the President.
We as good voters should look at all the facts, ideas, what needs to be done, and what they did to show that they can do it, and stop looking at just one thing, like party.

His race will hurt him more than anything he can say. I hate to say it in this day-and-age, but I'm afraid it is true...
He's not "black" enough to get all of the black vote and there are certain sectors of the Democrat base that will never vote for anything but a white man, at least not in 2008, maybe in the future.
I was talking to a person that belongs to a very large group that strongly suggests its members vote straight Democrat in every election and asked him what he thought about Obama's positions on things...
His answer: "I haven't really paid attention, I have a problem with him being black."
It's really sad that large sectors of the party of tolerance still exclude people based on superficial details. Shameful really.

No he meant fathers are responsible for the upbringing and support of their children. It was not meant as a pro life statement at all.
But how about Hill doing her "Look at me! I'm a Black Preacher man Act!", wasn't that a little embarrassing?

Well, that's the truth. I don't think he hindered his bid for president. BeforeI go to the polls this time around, I'll really have to do my research on all of the candidates running for office because I'm willing to vote for more than one of the candidates that I think are seeking the presidency.

What he meant was that if you decide to have the baby; you have to be involved in all aspects of the child's life in order to be a good father. It's from his position on Strenghthening Families and Communities speech. It has nothing to do with his position on a woman's right to choose.

His statement had absolutely nothing to do with abortion or conception. It had to do with fathers being responsible for the raising of thier children.
You have officially overdosed on Faux News.
