If you are looking for a pipe heater that will not allow the pipe to freeze, they come in 240V or `120V
try Johnstone supply

Uk Builder here(plumbers), I have not seen a mains powered freezing kit, we have a commercial system "iceman" which runs off the gas refill canisters, don't know if having electric around water pipes is a good thing. Check www.toolstation.com, they sell freezer kits.Sorry plumbers just told me a electric one does exist but we are not allowed to use on site.....health and safety I think.

Very good You can buy them, or hire them from hire centres. For hire centres, try 118247 and tell them what you want (hire, machine hire, machine rental) places - and the town or area you live and they will tell you. If you want to know what it is for - it is for if you want to put in a connection or whatever in a water pipe and you can' turn the water off for any reason. You freeze the pipe on each side of where you want to cut it. Cut it and put in the tee or tap or whatever. Then wait for the frozen bit to thaw out, and Bob's your uncle! HTH LOL

I haven't seen one around here, but I bet they have them in Europe. (Unless you are in a hurry.) Otherwise I would try an electrical supply store, not a big box outfit like Home Depot. They order weird stuff for contractors all of the time, and will usually assist a cash paying walk-in.
