I'm sorry, that is hard to live with. I hope you know his approximate day of release. It may be that there is disagreement or confusion about time served before his actual conviction. It's possible that the date is uncertain becasue a certain amount of time will be taken off for good behavior.

I am assuming your husband is equally uncertain. In that case, he can contact his original defense attorney, including Public Defender, and ask for an answer.

Call the jail and they should have a list of release dates. Or just write your husband and hopefully he will call you with the date.

Call your local court house and see how much time he was given and the date he is supposed to be released.

If he has an attorney, that may be a good way to find out. If you go on-line, there is a prison help rikers island website and phone number. You need to know his book and case number. They will guide you to the right information.

you should be able to pull it up on the internet...go to like the NY department of corrections you sholud see a link to search for inmates and it will let you see their whole history/criminal record as well as any current incarserations & release dates.
