That’s a great question! As a gay male in Sacramento I have asked that same question hundreds of times. I ashamed of those individuals that chose to act that outrageous to get noticed or a date. I’m pretty sure that most, not all, do it for the attention. But some guy/girls just have high voices and/or have masculine/feminine features. Hopefully one day they will realize that they look like fools and grow out of it.

Shoulda searched: this has been asked 3000 times, but here's the answer I gave (best answer, thank you much! ;p ) to Is it a Choice?:
"Hmm. You will mostly get simple Yeses or nos. The short answer is: we don't know for sure. I know a lot of my gay/lesbian/bi friends would kick my tail for that, but the scienfic answer is we don't know. What I DO know is that when I was a teenager, I grew up not knowing even one gay person (of course there were, but I didn't know). When I've tried to be intimate with a man, it was uncomfortable and disgusting despite the fact that I (still, as a friend) love the man. It felt like the sexual chemicals in my body were repulsed by his. With women, it feels natural and my chemicals react accordingly. I have never talked to an LGBT who feels they chose this for themselves. It's just the way it feels. There is an excellent book called Is It a Choice? by Eric Marcus. It's frank answers by LGBT about the ways that we feel. Thank you for your interest. "

For the 8 millionth time this week, people are born either LGBT or straight. Born. Inborn. Natural. Got it?
There is no choice involved, nor does this change over time. Some people take longer than others to realize their natural sexual orientation.

why aren't you? It's just what resounds as being natural... some people feel that being bi is natural, some people know that being gay is natural for them, others know that straight is natural for them... it's up to the individual to find that in the self....

they enjoy the company of other people of the same sex, it isn't something they decide, it is something that is programed intotheir brains, its like the decision you make about your sexuality, it was never really your decision at all, it is just your selfconcious being attracted to somebody else

People are motivated by pleasure and pain. Sex is pleasurable, and to some people sex with people of the same gender is more pleasurable than dealing with people of a different gender.
