i don't think it matters how old he is. everyone is accustomed to seeing him as harry potter and if they tried to replace him with someone else the world would freak out. i think his age fits with the movies. harry potter is growing up through out the books and so is daniel radcliff so it works.

Daniel Radcliffe is 17 at the moment, and will be turning 18 this July....i don't think he's getting too old for Harry Potter at all i mean there are lots of actors out there who are much older than the character they are playing. However, getting older means he may not suit the part anymore by the time it comes to the last film, but i doubt it.
Also its said that he was only going to do 3 films originally, as that was part of his contract but then it was changed to 5 and who knows if he'll do all the films, although it would be sill if he doesn't...coz i really want him to!
Thought i'd share that with you - hope that helped!

I don't think Daniel is too old. I mean he's just 17 going on 18. Look at the High School Musical cast, most of them are 19, 20, 20, and 22. And they were playing juniors in High School!!! Sh there's no way Dan is too old and anyway be the time all the Harry Potters are finished he'll be 19 or 20.

I heard that the last Harry Potter is due in 2070. By then Daniel will be too old to interpret Harry Potter's grandfather.

As for me, I think that I could make a "great" Great uncle for Harry.

He's not too old. Remember that Harry Potter also grew up in the books.

No.
He's 17 now and will be 19 when filming on The Deathly Hallows ends.
There are actors who play teenagers much older than Daniel Radcliffe.
Just watch the O.C., or Beverley Hills 90210

I think that he is getting to old. The books just seem to portray the lead as more of a young boy not a 17-19 year old. However, to replace him I personally think would hurt the ratings of the movie drastically.

I think he's just right for the films, as harry grows older, so does he. I just hope no one replaces him, he IS the movie and a damn good actor.

Daniel Radcliffe was born on July 23rd, 1989 and if you thing that there could be someone else for the part name him and we will make him an upcoming star!!!!!cause Radcliffe is a bit boring....and he apparently doesn't enjoy wearing clothes....
