they're so annoying, esp. amy lee - why's she going round in these goth clothes when her joke of a band don't even do proper goth rock/metal? in my opinion, she's a stupid poser and she can't sing. check out Within Temptation or Nightwish for proper goth metal and proper singing

She CAN sing, but that is out of the question... hate lies close to love - the opposite of love is indifference; and I'm indifferent towards Evanescence.
But you have to remember there's no 'proper' goth - no matter what the genre, every band within that genre has their own style; that's what makes them 'different' from other bands. Would you rather have every band within a genre to make the same style of music? You'll get sick and tired of the genre before you know it... just look at R'n B for a school example of what happens when all musicians in one genre sound too similar.

I am not a real fan of their music, but I think Amy Lee has one of the best singing voices around and I love the way she dresses! If I was younger that would be the kind of clothes I would like to wear.

I used to, but I like them a little more now.. they have way better songs on this new album they have out called "The Open Door" I like a lot of songs on there.. but their first album isn't as good (it is still pretty good)

i like two songs, Bring me to life and Call me when your Sober. They arent that good. She is a poser though lots of better bands around. Lacuna Coil is better

I agree! They are freakin' annoying and their songs are way over played!!! She's a pretty girl and all but why must she sing through her nose? She sounds incredibly nasal!

no, i love evanescence
if you play the piano, you woud appriciate how amazing they are.
get the sheet music to the album fallen
try playing any of their songs
if you dont, just listen to it
i know the goth thing may seem slightly strange, but its just a style.
i prefer evanescence's stuff to 'proper metal'
and she can sing
