Has anyone got experience buying boots from ebay before? I’m thinking of bidding but not sure what size to get. I’ve measured my foot length (24.2cm) and was also told to get at least half to one size bigger boots. Can anyone advise if a US size 8.5 will suit me? Thanks!

Princess,

just remember, if you buy shoes and they DON'T fit, you are the one paying to ship them back and you will lose your original shipping costs too.

i wouldn't buy them on ebay.

If the seller is naming the brand of boot, and it's one you're not familiar with, then see if you can find that brand in a local store so that you can try them on to see how they fit.

If no brand is named, use the "Ask Seller A Question" button and ask them to provide you with this information, together with length of the insole of the boot, how wide the foot is, and the circumference measurement of the calf. It would be a shame to buy boots that fit your foot, but not your leg.

Also check if they have a refund or exchange policy so that if you do decide to buy a pair and they don't fit at least you can return them. Bear in mind, that you'll have to cover the cost of return postage if this is the case.

Good luck

Every manufacturer uses a different standard, unless you know the actual size from that manufacturer will fit, you can't be sure. An alternate method would be to try the same shoe on at the mall and deterimine the size then shop for that shoe on ebay. Otherwise its a crap shoot, shoes must fit properly to be comfortable.

An 8.5 will fit you just fine, you could probably wear a size 8 also
