OMG....where do you see a problem. You are such a good candidate for any company to hire you. You would be an asset to that company. With the years you have been in your job, you should not have any problems at all. Just write down the title you had when you first got hired, then tell them how much you have learned there, If same title, advise them that you have learned all you could in that area. And also that you have learn from seeing and looking others around you, and that you are ready to put your expertise where they might be better suited for you and the company that will hire you.
Believe me, you are one of the blessed ones, go get the career you want, you can do it. Walk with your head high and go for it. God bless.

List your schooling first on the resume. I think it's a good thing that you have been with the same company for 8 years. It shows dedication. When you land an interview and they ask you why you left, simply tell them you are "seeking better opportunity." It's scary leaving your comfort zone but you'll do just fine!

I hire people and the stability that you have had on your current job would be a plus for me. I am reluctant to hire someone who has had a bunch of jobs for less than a year each. Emphasize the HR angle as much as you can and hope for the best.
