I think plain women are more likely to be low maintenance. Ie. not taking hours and hours to get ready. For me it's have a shower, put some stuff in my hair so it's not totally frizzy and that's it. Whether I am going to the mall, or going to a party, that's how I get ready. All my clothes are completely basic, so everything goes with everything else which means no freak out if I can't find something. I very rarely (a few times a year) wear mascara, and use chapstick every day, but that's it for makeup. I wouldn't say I'm necessarily plain looking, just low maintenance which can sometimes make me look plain.

Perhaps .01% of men would rather be with a plain woman, the others would prefer to have a girl who looks better than anybodyelses woman, but they will settle for a plain woman. We compete with each other. Would you want to date an unemployed guy who is on SSI because you know no other woman will want to steal him?

Yes some men do that but it goes both ways... there are women who do the same thing. Kinda pathetic in both cases because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One persons "plain" is another persons "hot"!
