the animal control told the city of tacoma after I wouldn't let them look at all of my birds,,that she thought there were code violations, and now I have several agencies coming out to inspect and could possibly be locked out with animals confiscated. do I have any rights since there is no actual proof of violations?

They will just come back with a warrant if they don't already have one. If there are no violations you have nothing to worry about.

I just moved out of Washington State. I hate there animal Laws. I had a huge piece of property (over 20 acers) and they told me I couldn't have my 5 WORKING dogs (I had cattle and horses). I had to have a Kennel Lic. Yeah what a pain in the butt. OS i moved out of the state to Arizona where land and taxes are not so bad. So when they came to look at all of my animals and told me that the only problem I had was the dogs I flipped out my dogs help me out so much and I cant just get rid of them or give one to them tell I got my Kennel Lic. So one dog went to a friend and I left the state. As for what you are going through you have to let them in or you can be fined every day for not allowing them to come in to see the complaint that was made on you. Maybe someone around you hates the sounds of your birds. So what you do is call them up and say fine I will let you in my house as long as I can video the whole thing. There are some shady people in animal control out there and you will need that if they take your birds and send you to court. Make the visit set to your time and your advantage.

If no actual proof of violations, why not just let them inspect and be done with it.

Tell them they can't do that, & see how wrong you are.

They'll be back with a warrant, and if you obstruct them, you could be arrested.

Yes, you have rights. But you have responsibilities. And so does the government.

Answer one is correct- if you don't cooperate they'll get legal relief to search your property without your consent.

You're just making things worse for yourself.
