I am working on a school project. I was wondering what diseases, or health issues are related to genetics. Some I have thought of include osteoporosis, and breast cancer. Can anyone give me some specifics and some diseases/issues? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Autoimmune diseases, Factor V Leiden and other clotting/bleeding disorders, Endometriosis, ovulation disorders...there are many. Search PubMed for genetic female disorders/disease and you will find many.

That is a very interesting question however if this is school related project you are better of doing some research from medical journals. Or Webmd.com something that you can really use as a back up source, a million and one people may tell you what they think is genetically related but I assure you atleast half of them or only going by experiance and what they thing and have nothing to back it up. I know that a lot of women believe that breast cancer is directly related to family history but others will tell you differant. Go to www.webmd.com or google or yahoo search engines. Good luck and hope you get an A!

There are also hormonal imbalances, skin disease, ovary disease, heart issues, blood pressure, cholesterol, all sorts of issues. It depends on what part of the body you are focusing on to.
