why or when...i don't get you. Why would people build a train station..can't be for fun right....pls be more specific

I can only guess that the reason the old train station was built was so that trains could stop there, just like any other train station in the world.

Apparently the new train station is one part of Malaysia's 'mega projects'

during that time is the need to transport tin and rubber which is the main industry at that time. as kuala lumpur grow into city it is also the need for transportation for people to travel. car and buses it not popular for long distance travel during that time.

in the old days there are several reason the train station built.
1- transport mat salleh to rural plantation
2- transport tin / rubber to export terminal
3- transport ppl working in mining & plantation
4- connection for big cities KL -sinpore..

back in the olden era, train was considered the fastest form of transportation. it provides good material and human logistics. thats why a train station was built.
