I read some questions and am amazed that someone actually took time to be critical and never really answer a question, It seems to me One comes for advice not to be frowned upon or make someone feel even worse.. I dont get it. I know people are people but it just makes me shake my head sometimes.

"I dont get it. I know people are people but it just makes me shake my head sometimes."

Actually, I think that is the point right there. As was mentioned earlier, some folks really are here just for the points.

It's a game to them, a competition to see "who gets owned and who doesn't". And as long as they are being competitors, they are *not* being people, in the sense of being human and having their warmer feelings *turned On*.

It's sad, I know. I try to tell the truth as best I can, to the best of my limited knowledge and experience. Even so, I do admit that some days the trolls and point-gamers irritate the piss out of me. Especially with the blind "let's give every Answer to the Question a thumbs-down" crap. Simply put, I am really thinking that if the Thumbs-up/thumbs-down stuff is to survive and be useful, it is going to have to stop being anonymous, and be like the Star List and *reveal* who is doing it so the Trolls can be *reported en masse* and punished.

(but nah, that assumes Yahoo wants to do something about the Trolls...prior behavior strongly suggests they don't)

I digress though, sorry. My point is, there are people here who care....I try to be one of them, or at least to be honest enough with myself to admit it when I do care (and when I don't). It's just, we are in a minority, and since Yahoo favors the bots and trolls and scum around here to legitimate users who abide by the rules, well....with a few constructive exceptions, it makes life difficult (actually, *most of the time* Polls & Surveys can be a positive place, provided you don't take things too seriously).

I hope this helps, and thank you for your time and patience. ^_^

It is because you earn points on here. Some nice people actually take the time and answer truthfully. Some are just here for the points. I don't know why, they just are. I've seen some real doosies on here, but I've also seen some very helpful answers as well.

Though never intending to be critical or offensive, with my flippant
side it's possible. Think there's probably others in the same boat,
if it's intentional ---- couldn't hazzard a guess.
