BMP files or a bitmap image file is one in which the pixel information are stored in the data bits. But JPEG or JPG images are compressed image formats. If u want the program to do the conversion, then the code should have adopted any one of the image compression techniques to convert the image to JPG format. Or else u can manually convert the BMP images to JPG using standard tools like mspaint , Windows picture and fax viewer etc.

If your software is able to save files in jpg. format then you should be able to do it easily. Open something up and click on "save as" when it asks you to give it a name, usually there is a box right under that that says "file type" click on that and look for the file type that says jpg. then save the file. That should do it for you.
