Drop the kids off at a friends house so they can enjoy the day. Pick up my wife and leisurely drive out of town on the backroads through the country, where we can quietly visit while taking in the scenes Mother Nature has painted on the landscape. Frequently stopping to enjoy the wildflowers budding and blooming, while the birds busily collect the materials to build their nests. Continuing on to a small community for a bite to eat and listen to the locals in order to collect the charm and character of the town. Drifting in and out of antique shops that display items of the past and tell the stories of a time gone by. When life was difficult but the family ties were strong and the community joined together to strengthen one another and built relationships that endured throughout time. Teaching a lesson in history that was learned from history; and yet, lasts into the future. Items so brittle having outlasted the test of time because of the firm foundation that supported them. Holding her hand as we stroll down Main Street, window shopping while we make our way back for the ride home. Traveling along another road uncluttered with traffic as we recall the images of the day and delve into those of the night. Gazing out the window at the stars that twinkle in the heavens and light our way in the darkness. Finding a small hole-in-the-wall place to stop momentarily and savor our time together with an ice cream cone and companionship. Then heading home to round up the clan and nestle them to bed before snuggling together and falling asleep in each others arms.

I'd pick up my son from school early, get my boyfriend, our parents and siblings and drive to Galveston Island and get married on the beach.
BUT I have to wait til next year for that. Oh well. I'm still happy right now thinking about it all!!!!

I would go to a little brook in the middle of a dewy forest, with 25 chocolate truffles and a bathing suit...and a sketch pad.
