I bought a pair of football shoulder pads and the position specific arches was in the discription. Is it something you can adjust? If yes how would you adjust them?
Thanks!

The pads I have are multi-purpose flat pad, what was confusing me was it saying position specific arches--impression to me was that you could adjust the arches to whatever position you were playing at the time??

Yeah, there are, I believe 3 or 4 different types of pads for football. There are the linemen pads which are much bigger and more padded than the others. The Running back/ Line backer pads which are still pretty big, but allows for more movement than the linemen ones. Then there are the wide receiver/ defensive back pads which are much lighter and not as heavily padded as the others. I'm not sure, but I believe there is also a QB specific pad, where you can add rib protectors. Hope that makes sense.
