We are currently having to manually add our new printers and servers into DNS, and would like to make this an automated process.
Is there a script that can be created to do this? We are using Windows 2003 Servers.

Thanks!

We currently do setup all of our printers on one dedicated Windows 2003 server. However, we do not set them up as items in Active Directory. I'm not sure why, I'm just out looking for a way to get our DNS updated without having to manually add/delete when we install a new printer or discard one.

You've got to be kidding.

Your network printers should be "installed" on at least one of your servers as part of the setup process. They are then shared in active directory, and a DNS entry is unnecessary.

Your servers should be joined as member servers, registering their own records in DNS. Why on earth would you need a script?
