I would have to take them by myself since my husband is working late tonight and they might be hard to handle in an open area alone, but I'm really thinking it might tire them out and then they'll sleep long enough for me to get some schoolwork done this afternoon...

take them to the park it shouldn't be too hard to handle them. I volenteer at a day camp and I look after about 20 kids at a time at an elementary school. and I manage to keep them all out of trouble, and I'm only 18. You just got to sit back to where you can see them all and just supervise.

It is always a good idea to tire them out a bit first.... Go to the park and then they will be much more relaxed when they get back

Yes, take them.
Not only will you get the benefit of completed schoolwork, they'll get the benefits of fresh air, exercise, and communicating with other kids there.

Get the kiddies worn out so they sleep like little angels. It's a trick parents of young children learn.

nah, give them a good old fashioned spanking instead.

EDIT: Just because they're not doing something now, doesn't mean that they didn't do something earlier that you're not aware of. Thats also the reason why I don't protest my unfair violations.
