Well then maybe you should have paid attention IN school, but I'll help you out anyway:
Thomas Jefferson was the man with the highest number of confirmed kills during the revolutionary war. By most estimates he killed at least 4,000 British soldiers. He also drank their blood for sustenance.

Woot does give an amusing answer -- but Thomas Jefferson was not the Rambo of the Revolution.
Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in June of 1776. It was the central document declaring the reasons for the revolution of the American colonies. That answer will get you points on your history test.

Everything! His contributions are SO signifigant. You really need to read your texts, look online, and visit your library. Most of what this country stands for today can be tied back to him in one way or another.
He drafted the Declaration of Independence (he was a MAJOR catalyst to the revolution), he contributed to the freedom of religion, he presented many of the ideas and ideals that are the bedrock of our government, overhauled Virginia's government, instilling democratic ideas (before the revolution), and in later years served as the governor of Virginia and was the third president of the United States.
