Flat top, dish top, low dome, high dome?

I KNOW my engine choice, and I would just like to know which pistons are for what.

Yes it relates to compression in conjunction with what heads you are running, and cam, and intake. etc. Talk to someone who sells all the parts don't try to pick parts and assemble an engine if you have never built one before.
The piston tops look exactly like the names they are given.
Dish= lowest comperession then Flat top ,then low dome, then high. Could range from 7 to 1 all the way to 13 to 1 compression .

The differences are in the compression they each produce. Choose what kind of motor you are building, then go for piston choice. Better yet, go to Summit Racing, JEGS, or any other performance website for complete engine kits that work well together.
