Do you want to solve by math or graph? Here's the graph method:

Assuming that zero degrees is north and 180 degrees is south, use a protractor to draw a line downward at 243.7 degrees on graph paper - this will be a line starting at the coordinates of X = 0 and Y = 0. It will extend downward and to the left by 200 units (millimeters, perhaps). Then the distance along the X axis from X,Y = 0,0 to ?,0 is the number of units west the ship has traveled, and along the Y axis from 0,0 to 0,? is the number of units south the ship has traveled.

You need a map, rose compass, and the knowledge of headings (degrees). Draw a grid map, place the start of it at point ( 0 , 0 ). Then at the heading of 243.7, move 200 km. Then go as far south, then how west. That simple ^_^.

This word problem merely asks you to find the
length of one side of the triangle formed by the known-length hypotenuse at the known angle. Hint: the known angle will be given angle less the angle of the straight line of the unknown length you are seeking. You then simply calculate the third side's length by rearranging the triangle formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2

How about you do your own homework instead of cheating and getting other people to do it for you. You might actually learn something.

The missing piece of information is elapsed time. Without that, you can not answer the question.
