You will have a white/tan dis-charge from the vagina, it will look kind of like cottage cheese, and it will kind of have an odor to it! You will also feel a little bit of iching and burning as well.

If you can, the best thing to do is to go the the doctor. It can be a GYNO or just a family doctor. They can prescribe you a cream or even a pill to get ride of it, and a cream to get ride of any iching that you might have.

If you really cant go to the doctor, (i suggest you do though) you can go to any wal-mart of drug store and buy some Monostate 1 or another brand of cream to get ride of it. If you do have iching, you can buy a cream called Vagisil or something of that sort. You sould be able to find all of these products in the womens section at these stores. If you do not get rid of this within 3 days of using an at home method, you should def. go to the doctor.

You should also start wearing lose jeans and cotton panties. At night, sleep with very lose shorts on with no panties, or just nothing at all!

Hope some of this helps!!!

The symptoms of vaginal yeast infection include:

Vaginal itching that is often severe.
Vaginal discharge that is usually white, curdlike, and odorless.
Red, irritated skin around the opening to the vagina (labia).
Pain while urinating when urine touches irritated skin.
Pain in the vagina during sexual intercourse.
Symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection are more likely to occur during the week before a menstrual period.

There are other conditions with similar symptoms, such as bacterial vaginosis or a sexually transmitted disease. Itching and redness of the vulva can also be caused by a reaction to vaginal products such as soap, bath oils, spermicidal jelly, or douches. If you are unfamiliar with your symptoms, see your health professional for an accurate diagnosis.

Acute vaginal yeast infection
For the occasional yeast infection, you can use a nonprescription vaginal medication (such as Gyne-Lotrimin, Vagistat, or Monistat) without seeing your doctor first. Only use these medicines if you are certain that your symptoms are caused by a yeast infection. If you prefer, you can use a single-dose prescription oral tablet, a prescription vaginal tablet, or boric acid capsules (600 mg boric acid in a size 00 gelatin capsule inserted in the vagina once daily for 2 weeks). Vaginal treatments are applied at bedtime. Medications are used for 1 to 7 days, depending on the type. All treatments cure vaginal yeast infection 80% to 90% of the time.4, 5, 6

If you have HIV infection, your vaginal yeast infection treatment options are the same as those for women without HIV.7 But your treatment may take longer or need to be repeated.

A yeast infection can look like cottage cheese discharge and it itches and burns. If it is your first one you really should see your doctor. The doctor can give you a pill to take and it will go away within 24-48 hours or you can go to a pharmacy and buy an over the counter cream called Monistat. They make one day treatments but you need to insert cream and can be messy. I recommend going to the doc and asking for the pill.

Itchy, white discharge, smells like baking bread. You can buy over the counter medicine to treat it. If you still have the symptoms after you've completed the treatment, you should see your doctor because it may be something else, but if you have the above symptoms, chances are it's a yeast infection. In the future, eating yogart can help prevent yeast infection.

With a yeast infection you would have a white, cottage-cheese discharge that smells and you would not feel right down there. Some women itch.

If it's your first yeast infection, the best thing to do is to see your Gyn for proper treatment.

I agree with the Nancy, go to your gyno. If you don't have one, go to your family dr. or to your nearest planned parenthood for a look/recommendation of a gyno in town. In the mean time, I'd go to the pharmacy and get an anti-itch cream for yeast infections to give you some relief if your itching, but don't let too much time pass...it can develop into something worst with time
