When I was a kid, the only way to get Church sanction on a "mixed marriage" was an agreement to raise all progeny as Catholics. I actually have cousins who were affected by this rule, and one or possibly two remain RCs even now. The third one became a priest, but I think he was always an Atheist at heart. They'll do anything to get priests nowadays.

And, yes, if I were going to have a religion it would probably be Catholic, despite all the harm that religion did me, just because it feels most comfortable. That may sound crazy, but I am just trying to be honest.

Yes, both of my parents were Catholic and I was raised in the Cathoilic faith.

I just kinda went through the motions of being a Catholic until I had children and then I started teaching faith formation classes. As a result of teaching, I have learned a LOT about the Catholic faith and I am stronger in my faith than my parents.

A person MUST continue their faith formation past high school. The purpose of Mass is not instruction by praise and worship. For a Catholic, going to Mass on Sunday is NOT ENOUGH!!

I'm more of a athiest then a believer. My parents are methodist. If I told Dad he weren't care but Mom would freak out if she knew. I came close to letting her know I'm not much of a believer when I told her a speech I heard in class about how God wasn't real was interesting. She spoke close to yelling "u didn't believe her did u?" So nether one of them know. Ironic though she doesn't really practice Christanity and stopped going to church before I was 13. I stopped after 13 for I had been confirmed/made a member of the church.
I don't know how to get out of being a member but if I knew I would do it.

No. I'm an atheist or basically, a non-believer in the Christian God or other Gods.

My family are Christians though I've not been very interested in accompanying them to Sunday Church. After all, they tend to be rather erratic churchgoers and they usually attend evangelical churches. (After reading about James Dobson, my wavering enthusiasm for Christianity plummeted even further.)
