Depends on what you think is older, I am 40 and I still have tons of energy and yes all my housework gets done, sometimes I let it slide but, I do have a husband,2 daughters and many pets to care for, but I still keep up pretty well

They are vary prepared and they don't make a mess
they clean up after themselves when the mess would be made so their is no mess
If you hate house cleaning and never have time go spend a week at your grandparents notice how grumpy they are it is because they have a system down to where they have a clean house and they never spend more then 5 min cleaning

Both. When you don't have the energy, you don't do it.
Sometimes the desire overrides the lack of energy because you just can't stand looking at it anymore.!

I think older people tend to be more interested in maintaining their house and keeping this clean and neat. Since they are retired, they have more time to work on it too.

well my grandmother doesnt work and rarely leaves her house. her house is spotless tho....so im guessing she cleans and takes breaks whenever. she doesnt watch tv either...just listens to radio
