I'm sorry Guys but ..................DON'T TAKE THE TANK APART ! AND DON'T USE ACID ON IT ! If the stuff in the tank is just floating around then tip the tank up on one corner and siphon the gas out of it. Then all you have to do is either get a rag on a stick and wipe the tank clean or let it dry and vacuum it out. If the tank is rusty inside then it should go to a shop to be boiled out and then resealed inside with a special coating that is not Patroleum solluable. or just find a better tank.

u gotta take it all apart.......sand blast......dry overnight at least.....there is no such thing as the corner-cutting solution u want.....
