how do you feel on the subject of americas poor? do they have a voice? do they have a chance to be anything but poor? should we as a nation be ashamed of how we treat our underpriviliged? and if you arent poor,do you even care? is apathy the name of the game in america? and if spo, can we survive?

this is a deep question that requires thinking.....i put it in the poll section because of the traffic, it is very important for people of a unified nation to know what the opinions around them are, even if they dont agree........so if you are too shallow or stupid to answer this question, then dont, i will report insults and stupidity. thanks

ive been poor all 22 years of my life (i realize im very young, but iv been outside looking in for at least 10 years.....hey what else is the stinky kid gonna do but watch everyone else have fun?) anywho, i havent seen much change in nthose 10 years i was paying attention, the only difference is in then 90s peoiple were talking about the poor, now theyre not.................the next question is : "whose tom blame for the ridiculous amount of people needed to give some the american dream? and does the dream need to change so all can be happy here? if youve ever been dirt poor, you know you cant find much happiness outside of your family. and if you sayotherwise........you probably have never lived in a trailer park. thanks

Yes, I care. I think it's terrible that in America, the land of opportunity, that there are poor people. I don't feel that poor people have a voice, but I feel that is changing. I feel that is one of the things that America has tried to sweep under the rug because it doesn't gel with it's "helpful" image. Yes, as a nation, we should be ashamed of how the underprivileged are treated.

I feel that the more it is talked about, the more people will be aware, then the more it cannot be ignored, and therefore the more it will change.

Great question.

I do care about America's poor. I don't know that they have a voice. It is hearbreaking to read or see stories of people living on the street, not having food to eat, etc. My heart goes out especially to the children who are at the mercy of the parents. Can they change? Can they rise above this? I would hope that the answer is yes even with the odds stacked against them. You have to always have hope!

The poor will get poorer and in most cases stay poor due to lack of opportunity and education. The middle class will continue to perpetuate itself by tking care of the next generation, and the rich will get richer by sponging off everybody elses misfortune and ignorance. I'm not poor and I do care about them...
