I have been in this pageant in my town for 2 years, 3 this month and last year I won best talent for singing and second runner up. My question is what are some good tips to help me win the crown? I am really worried about not getting the best talent again but what I really want is to win this year. Please help me, I'd really like some advice.

All you can do, is practice practice practice. Wear a nice colored suit (like solid yellow, pink, or red suits. Something that will wake them up) when you go in for your interview. Look comfortable. Remember these people don't know you and you don't know them, so have fun. Know your platform backwards and forwards. So, start studying now. And, lead your interview. Come in with a strong opening, and always make sure they focus on you and your platform, and your acheivments. Example, judge asks: "do you think the Iraq War is a good idea?" Your platform is: Breast Cancer awareness. So, you say, depending upon your belief and the courage of your convictions (ie: stand true in what you believe in and don't ever be wishy-washy): "I do beleive it is agood ideas because Iraq will fall apart if they do not have some kind of support. But, I do believe that less money should be spent there and this money can saved in order to be placed towards Breast cancer research. Not enough money is going there." See how it steered back to you and something that you want to talk about?
And get really toned. Don't forget to get a tan, so you you will look thinner and more toned and not all washed out on stage. practice your talent until it is perfect. And, walk with grace. Remember model-t stance and to always have your body facing outward, never sideways as you walk, because that makes you look nervous. And smile. When you are genuine and not scared, you will wear the smile in your eyes and command total stage presence.
