i'm in high school as we speak, so don't think that i am so far removed from you. however, i think that classifying yourself as either emo or punk or whatever is really stupid. we are all going to fall into social categories anyway, but to say that one group is less conforming than the other, or less likely to follow certain trends and behaviors is plain stupid. we are all conformists, we might not all conform to the same thing, but we all conform to someone. who cares what the definition of emo is. people are going to b*tch no matter what you say. do what you want to do.
