I dream, at least once a week, that I wake up and there’s a big spider on my bed or on the wall next time me. Each time I leap out of bed (I am awake by this point) and turn the light on as I’m convinced it isn’t a dream. There is never a spider there. Does anyone know what this means or has anyone experienced the same thing? By the way, I am extremely arachnophobic!

Heed to the call, you are being called to join your friendly neighborhood spidey... Joke, joke, joke. This one is serious, you've got fear of the arachnids, if you get used to it you'll overcome it sooner or later, I know you will. If that represents something that gives you fear in real life, do the same, encounter it, then you will understand that there's nothing to be afraid of, it will fade. Understanding and encountering your fear is the key.

There are no cookie cutter meanings for images in dreams. They're personal. What does a spider mean to you? What else is happening in the dream to give you some clue what it's trying to say?

The spider can depict any emotions you don't want to 'handle'. Sometimes spider symbolises a mother’s power, as in the way you are caught in the web of her desires and emotions. Inability to become independent of the mother.

I think that your dream means that your fears are not as bad as they seem, and when you take a second look they aren't really fears at all.

That's about the best I can do on the knowledge I have.

u must of had a bad experience with them, should be fairly recently if these dreams haven't been happening long. they will stop soon enough as you forget about them, but before you go to bed try your hardest to think of something else

its true you fear spiders so you subconscious is frightening you to that fact but for what reason is unclear, mabye you are doing something you shouldn't be doing or getting involved in a situation that could be potentially dangerous to yourself and you mind is trying to warn you in its own way.
