Hi Kat. I'm also a mother of 2. Last year I started my own home based health and wellness business sharing proprietary products that are pure, safe, and beneficial and an opportunity for others to be able to do the same. They are formulated in Switzerland, made in the US and target 6 key consumer markets. There are over 350 consumable products giving you a nice residual check rather then a 1 time sale. This is where you're going to make your money. My sponsor now makes more in 1 month then she did in an entire year as a school teacher. It's a secure and stable company (been in business 27 years), debt free with a low $29 start up cost, no territories to limit growth, no inventory, no sales requirements, unlimited income potential, free on-line training, on line support, committed leadership, Mercedes Benz car program, free trips and vacations, on line and toll free ordering with direct shipping, with the most generous compensation plan in the industry. Anyone can do what I do. There are no degree requirements. We have doctors, lawyers, teachers, stay at home moms, stylists, etc. doing this business. We share premium products and an opportunity. The company is booming with an average of 111% growth every year since 2002 so now would be a great time to get involved. If you like networking and sharing, this might be a great fit for you. If you're interested in learning more, I will be happy to help you. Good luck.

Hi Kat,

Do you type 65 words/minute or more?

I contract for a company called speak-write typing dictation.

The only out of pocket cost is a foot pedal for $75 once you pass the tests and right now they're so back-logged for work that they're offering free foot pedals for people who complete and pass the testing.

The web site is www.speak-write.com

Depending on how fast you can type, you'd be making 6-15 bucks per hour.

There are many contractors that have posted in the speak-write forms that were able to quit their jobs because there is so much work available through this company. Also, you can put together your own schedule 24 hours per day, so that's a plus.

I hope this helps!

Hi – I sell on eBay. I profit about $3,500 a month and only work about 6 hours a day. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years and I have sold 12,000 items. I am a single/stay at home mom, too. You can start by selling things you already have as your "on the job" training.

I find items at second hand stores, garage sales, clearance sales, and members clubs to resell on eBay. Some of the items are used, some are new. Some people services like web design or graphic design. Other sell items like jewelry, customized baby items, or craft items. There are many ways to earn a living on ebay, either part-time or full-time.

Please email me directly at elizabethwells815@yahoo.com if I can answer specific questions.

You can check details about ChaCha guide at the link below:
ChaCha Guide:

I have been searching for work-at-home opportunities for a long time. I found 3 of them that you can make money at home with that have no start-up costs. One of them was ChaCha guide. You can see the details about the 2 of them by clicking each link below also. Actually I am doing ChaCha guide work with these two so I can make more money while I am on the computer. These do not bring in a big amount of money but while I am on the computer anyway they are generating income for me and I really do not have to do anything to make it.

With the growth of blogging and social networking there are real opportunties to make money as an affiliate with spending a cent.

I suggest you take a look at SFI (Strong Future International). They are an affiliate company that has been in business since 1998, and they have over 11 million members worldwide. Check them out in the BBB. They have a wide range of internet friendly products, such as health and beauty, self help, pet accessories, cell phone services, internet services, satellite tv etc.

It is 100% free to join, and you never need to pay any fees. Their support is excellent and free 24/7. They train you in the best ways to make money with their products, and they pay well.

You should look at using blogging, social networking, and article submission to promote the products. All these methods are free. Join Blogger.com and Wordpress.com for free blogging. Join sites like del.icio.us, Digg, Squidoo and Technorati for social networking. Submit articles promoting your products free to article directories like Ezinearticle.

You can find free information on these methods by searching the internet, or better still, by visiting the site below.

Kat

The key thing is here is to do your research and really check out what all the opportunities are really about. The main thing I find when people join my business is there mindset is all wrong.

If you are going to work from home and want to be paid a business style income then your need to work your business as a business. Too many people work it as a hobby and get paid accordingly.

Look at yourself first and understand what makes you tick and then review the business opportunities to see if they really fit your make up.

If there is no 'try before you buy' option the tread carefully. You also want to see a cast iron guarantee and be able to speak to a human before making a decision. So many companies hide behind a website or email address.

What ever your decide good look and do your research!

Work at home jobs are hard to find. Technical, phone work or writing jobs are the most common legit ones. You may want to check out some job leads at http://wahjobs.blogspot.com Plus there is a listing of companies that regularly hire telecommuters

Whatever you find, make sure you go to the BBB, and make sure they are legit. There are Work at Home things advertised in the paper, one was stuffing envelops. Got curious, called the number, it was a recording, not a human to talk to, so I looked further, and turns out, like I suspected, it was a fraud. The place moved around a lot.

I'd stay away from the survey sites and the supposed data entry jobs being offered out there. Most, if not all, are a waste of time.

I've heard good things about chacha.com, but you'd need to be invited by someone who's already doing it. I'm not one of them, sadly. You'll also need a broadband connection I heard. You could probably pose a question here on Answers to see if someone already doing chacha will invite you.

For another idea, click on my avatar and read the "About Me" part.

Good luck!
