Try a 56 lb sledge hammer, that usually opens things tried it on doors and stuff and always works a treat, don't worry about the spelling worry about opening your pedant,

I really dont think they are supposed to open. but if you insist take it to a local jewellers im sure they could do it for you for a fee

yep jewellers but they might charge a little fee so ask first as it might not open at all an you end up paying for nothing..

Not sure maybe take it to a local jeweller and they will do it, or take it back to where it was purchased.
