You amaze me. This country was founded on the basis of religious freedom. We all have the right to worship who or whatever we choose. If you call the Bush administration high moral value then you need to read that bible instead of thumping it. We do not have to all be Christian to vote. Each and every citizen has a right to have their voice heard about this country, no matter what their religion is. What you "must do" is go back to the constitution and actually READ it. Learn what it is this country was founded for and by whom.

That is garbage and you know it. Christians are not the only people living and working here. If this country is so Christian, then they Christians will naturally have adequate representation at the polls, right? Funny thing about how our electoral process is set up: EVERYONE has a vote. Everyone who votes is represented. Not just one group. As far as "founded by christians", our founding fathers went to great lengths to keep religion out of government.

All have the right to choose to vote for the person of their choice. Be that person be democrat, republican, green, or independent. That's the beauty of living in the USA, you have those rights. Christians should just be Christians. Living their religions as well as they can. But, no, they should not be the only ones to vote. That would be trampling on all of our rights as Americans, whether we were born here or immigrated here.

I can understand your frustration but restricting voting to just Christians voting is not the answer. I think we should restrict it to people who at the very least show they care about their neighborhoods, parks, children, families, and schools. That equates to caring about this Country. Many religions believe in high moral and ethical standards. Some of those religions are not religions one would want to be a part of - such as Muslims. This religion has very strict codes in terms of dress and sexuality.

Which country is this? The United States?

Nope, the US was NOT founded by (only) Christians. And certainly not be the type of Christians we see a lot of today.

So, you're wrong.

And, in any case, the Constitution explicitly forbids what you're talking about. Even if every one of the Founders was Christian, they saw to it that your proposal would not be allowed.

So, you're doubly wrong. Factually and morally, in fact.

As a Christian, I find this question very offensive.

Anyone who can legally vote in this country has the right to do so if she/he wishes to do so.

Your brand of "Christianity", I can do without.

absolutely not. first and foremost we were founded by people who loved the idea of freedom. that would go against everything they tried to create. and just because a person might classify themselves as a christian, does not mean they have high moral value. some of the worst that i've known were self-proclaimed christians. people just need to do what's right. they know what it is, it's just a matter of doing it. "watch your thoughts, they become words, watch your words, they become actions, watch your actions, they become habits, watch your habits, it becomes character, watch your character, it becomes your destiny." by the way..... i am a christian.

Coming from the UK, gotta say that the fact that you're asking that kinda question, is a bit scary.

From what i know, i know that the US was built on a clear seperation between the state and religion. So the premise of you're question is fundamentally flawed when talking about the values of the US.

If you think of it, i don't think theres any religions that don't emphasise hard work, helping your fellow man etc etc.

why stop there

if your gonna restrict it to christians, make sure it's only restricted to whites and heterosexuals as well

after all, there's really no difference in your logic to that situation

oh yeah, no women either

whatever happened to "land of the free"?

.....and being Christian does not mean you retain high moral values

Seriously?! This country is based on many things, including civil rights, irregardless of your religious beliefs. That is what makes the United States of America so different from other countries. Jeez.
