Man, we grow up so fast don't we? It's like sometimes we forget when we were just little kids playing without worries... Now that we're Adults we work, we argue in relationships, we pay the bills, etc. It's a stressful world we live in sometimes, yet we just forget about our childhood because our busy lives.
Well, yesterday after I got home from work... I looked in the mirror, and I saw my reflection... I still see the kid in me... I still watch cartoons, I still play with action figures and I'm 25, (Shhhh... don't tell anyone). I read old Calvin and Hobbes, and TMNT comic books.
I don't know, I feel like a kid that day... has anyone felt like this before? Do you still think you're a kid to this day?

I am and I'm not. I love my childhood memories. Time seemed to go so slow (I had time for everything) and everything was so new and exciting and full of adventures. I didn't have cleaning or cooking or washing to think about and kids to take care of and I had great parents who made me feel loved and secure. The memory of that time always brings me such nostalgy, I want to experience it again and I can't - it's so elusive. Once in a while I get a remote glimpse or a feeling of being a child - like you did - and those are my favourite moments. I am still childish in certain ways - I love puzzles, computer games, adventure books, Walt Disney movies - but I can see it's not the same as being a child when my 3 and 1/2-year-old daughter asks me to play with her. Well, I'm plain bored to play seek-and-hide or cars or babies or kick a ball with her. I always smile condescendingly when she gets excited over a dog in the street or an empty snail shell. So I am happy about every moment when I forget about the daily worries and can feel like a child again.

LoL, I have that Peter Pan Syndrome..... One day I looked in the mirror and said "Who the heck is that?!" only to realize that it was my own reflection staring back at me. I look like a grown up, and I have grown up responsibilities, but inside I feel like a kid! Even though I now have kids of my own. If you ask anyone that I know, they will tell you, I love to be silly, play pranks, watch cartoon channel, play with my kids. Unfortunately, I don't have the same responsibility level that I did as a child when my biggest worry was beating my brother to the TV so that I could watch The Little Rascals or The Munsters! Keeping that inner child is what keeps us young, no matter if our hair is grey and we keep our teeth in a jar.

I still love being a kid (30 this year!!) I still look forward to getting home switching on the playstation (slight differance I do it with a beer now!) and generally larking about. We've just had our first child as well 3 weeks ago! And I can't wait until he gets a little older, it will be a great excuse to get the old scalextric out.
All in all I think its good to be a kid at heart!

Me and my boyfriend (25 and 33 respectively) are the biggest kids on the playground. I love slides, collect action figures, am an addict of the Cartoon Network (and not anime night either), read comic books, arrange my collection of stuffed lions, play video games, climb on the jungle gym (and complain about the lack of good ones anymore), watch clouds, poke bugs, splash in puddles, and love the frosted side of frosted mini-wheats (to hell with the fiber)

I'm still very much a kid in alot of ways....mainly due to my naivety....
It used to bother me and I thought it was a curse but, I've had people tell me that my point of view on things can be very refreshing.
I guess it's not a curse after all.
