I think it will be Russell. The Raiders sent two scouts to look at Quinn yesterday while the Browns and the Vikings sent their head coaches and owners.

Oh JaMarcus Russell Without A Doubt. He Fits Oaklands Playbook Because They Like To Throw The Deep Ball. I Heard With One Step Russell Threw A 85 Yrd Pass, Give Or Take A Few Yards. This Is Oakland's Best Pick Because They Have Randy Moss And Jerry Porter To Go After It. Everyone Knows Randy Moss Can Get Away Defenders With His Breakaway Speed. And Oakland Knows Russell Can Get The Ball To Him. Its A Done Deal. "With The First Pick In The Draft, The Oakland Raiders Choose JaMarcus Russell From LSU"

The Raiders are getting ready to draft Russell. He fits better with their playbook then Quinn. Also they did not pick up the option on their current QB Brooks.

For better or worse its going to be Jamarcus Russell. If he happens to go to the Raiders, it will shave 3 years off his career as he will take a hellacious beating. I don't care how big he is, its one thing to look good against fifth year seniors, but the NFL is a whole other level. Wait until he goes against a 30 y/o DE or LB with a bad attitude, ex-wife, child support and bed check fines....... I'm not slamming JR, I actually think he will do well in the right system, much like Vince Young and Michael Vick.

Unless the Raiders can get a QB for Randy Moss, they'll be taking Russell.
If they DO get a QB, they'll take Calvin Johnson to replace Moss.
At that point, it's a toss-up between Russell and Quinn because Cleveland is enamored with Quinn and are likely to take him over Russell anyway.
The Lions might be tempted to take Russell if he drops to them, even though they've been looking to shore up their defense with Jamaal Anderson.
If Russell isn't drafted by the Raiders, though, it's likely he's going to drop to the Vikings, who he'd be a good fit for traditionally since he's so similar to Warren Moon and Daunte Culpepper. (Big arm, mobile, passionate.)

Has to be Russell, if Oakland can get their line squared away JaMarcus will excel there. I'm an LSU fan and have seen him in just about every game he's played. Kid has the best arm I've ever seen, no joke. I've seen him being sacked and flick the ball 50 yards. If Moss can act like he cares about playing, the Russell to Moss combo would kill.

JaMarcus Russell of LSU, most likely with Brady Quinn of Notre Dame going next.

Jamarcus russell because if the raiders dont get any Q.B in the free agency they'll need some serious talent and russell is the perfect fit

My honest guess is Quinn. He isn't my first choice. I say his stats are padded by the easier schedule. I would take Russel first myself. I'm not picking though.
