On a prom date or Goodwill. Everyplace else you will need to pay for one, they don't leave them around for you to "find" like easter eggs.

Go to Dillard's JCPenney's etc. Dillard's is the best bet though. I got my prom dress there for $20. It's a gorgeous dress too. The best time to shop for prom dresses is after the prom season but before the homecoming season. Trust me.

There is only one place to shop that has great dresses http://www.PromDressShop.com. They ship worldwide!
Check out the sale dresses, they start at about $75 and go up from there for designer dresses!

Look in the phone book. I rented a dress for my daughter for one of her formals. Like $25 dollars or something. Return the next week. Unless you plan on using it again.
