Are you trying to use your laptop to create a wireless bridge to link with a wireless router. Not sure if you can do this but try thi
Go to start, settings, network connections. Where it says LAN or high speed internet right click on your lan icon and click on bridge connections. It will now bridge your wireless and wired together. Plug your 360 into the ethernet socket on your laptop and try it. You will need a network cable for this. Not a system link cable. You will have to set up the ip settings on the 360.
You could buy a wireless gaming adapter which will sit nicely behind your 360 and will connect to your wireless routerwirelessly. I got a belkin F5D7330 adapter which works fine on my 360 and is half the price of the microsoft one. Please note that you will have to configure the adapter which is great fun. basically bridge the instantaneous connection and the community section connection, not the 1394. and make certain you perfect click on instantaneous connection, click properties, click the stepped forward tab, and verify the two boxes are checked.
