There are a lot of different types of scholarships out there. Some of them are needs based. You can look into student loans as well. I would check with your school counselor, go to a local college and check with their scholarship office (better luck if it's a state university), but the second biggest giver of scholarships (#1 is Uncle Sam) is the Elks Club- find one near you and apply. There's also the military option or ROTC. Good Luck!

I'm sure your parents are already proud.

RUN to a guidance counselor at your high school and tell them what you've asked here. They will know what resources exist.

Also, remember that there are alternatives to scholarships. These include student loans and grants.

The military is also a great way to get money for college.

There are other options available grant money and student loans. If you claim yourself as independent you will qualify for more grant money and the loans should be fine aswell. Check out fema grants and also take sometime to talk to your guidance counselor thats what they are there for. Good LUCk

Check with the school you want to attend. They can give you a list and may even have some just for their school. Here's another place - http://www.finaid.org/scholarships/.

Go to ur counselor and he/she can help you out on applying for scholarships. Also you can do financial aid when going to college. I got to pay nothing cause my parents income was to low for them to have to pay anything.
