If you have before or you still do now, DO NOT DO THAT ANYMORE! I live in the Midwest and it is pretty cold around here right now. I stopped by a friends house yesterday for a second and left the car running, parked on the street, went in there and spoke to her for a second and looked outside because I heard my tires spinning on the ice, and some guy hopped in my car and took off. It was my fiances grandmas car who just died like 1 month ago. My daughter just got dropped off - she was NOT in the car. But, for those of you who do leave your kids in the cars w/them running in the winter, DON'T!! It is an ongoing thing I guess - People stealing cars that are warming up. good news is, my fiance was out looking for that car from 10a.m. to 9p.m. last night and FOUND IT!!!! It was at a laundry mat, gas station about 15 miles away from where it was stolen. The police told him that a car was stolen w/a child in it the other day and neither car or baby has been found yet so, I learned my lesson

I do it, (NOT with kids in it) but I lock the doors. I have a keypad on my car. So, I can leave it running and unlock it when I am ready to get into it.
