It's my home. I live in Inglewood, Ca. Went to high school in Watts, Ca and lived in just about every hood LA has to offer. Like any place there are benefits and drawbacks. The obvious drawback is the danger. I've seen drive-by's, people walking around with guns and I've been jumped a couple of times and robbed. You're probably asking where is the benefit? If one like myself can make it out with a good head on my shoulders, the lessons learned from surviving put me ahead of so many other people in understanding the world. There is such a thing as "street smarts" and they are very valuable. I love the hood!!!

I can only answer from my viewpoint by what I have seen. I do not nor have I ever lived within a city.

It is very dirty and so are the people. Some of the people that are there are even uncomfortable being there. It is just a very undesirable place.

Crazy.... because we make our lives what they are... I guess these people enjoy the filth.
