If one recognizes that the differences between people is an opportunity for ones growth, marriage and any relationship can become an opportunity for amazing growth. It takes a bit of maturity however to accept conflict as an opportunity for growth.
When one simply "blames" the other person all possibility of learning is lost. It then becomes an obstacle between the two.

To answer your question, differences are first and formost, an opportunity, if one has the courage to see the broad perspective, and the willingness to accept that disagreements or conflict is for ones own learning. Lacking that maturity differences become obstacles, which can lead to the end of the relationship.

Ultimately the most fulfilling relationships are achieved when the participants get beyond blaming, beyond tolerance and reach a level of accepting full responsibility for their own actions and behavior. At least that is how it has worked for me. I had to go through a painful divorce before I was willing to look at my part in a marriage.

I don't believe there is a standard in learning. People learn at different levels and rates. One might be good in English, another in Math. Might make for a good partnership. I once knew a man, considered ignorant, who quietly made a fortune. Smartest man amongst his friends, who were quietly stupid. Don't put people in boxes, they usually break out.

Do you mean education? Because if 2 people learn differently that shouldn't affect their marriage one tiny bit. If their education is significanlty different, I suppose that could be an issue.

What do you mean exactly?
