I bought this thing for $500. It's in really good shape, but none of the four windows work. I've removed the switch and checked for power, It has battery voltage at all the wires. The previous owner had already replaced the swich and he said it's the power window control module. Now the question is, Where the heck is it and what does it look like. I've looked inside the door, nothing there. I can buy one from the dealer for $75 or buy one at the salvage yard for $20 if I can identify it...hmmmmm. Thanks in advance for the help and best answer will be rewarded with my vote

I had a very similar problem on mine. It turned out the ground wire in the driver's side door was bad. Rather than track that wire all through the door and under the dash, I simply created a new ground at the door, and attached the ground wire to it.

You said : "I bought this thing for $500. It's in really good shape, but none of the four windows work. I've removed the switch and checked for power, It has battery voltage at all the wires". OK, so does that mean the windows do not work from the master switch on driver's door? Or they don't work when using their own seperate switches on the appropiate door? Or both? A little more info would be helpful.

Buy a Chilton book for the car and it should tell you everything and you can also go down to a Shucks parts stor or even any parts store and it might not be a bad idea to ask them where it is and ask if you can see what one looks like they will be happy to show you one that will look a bit like the one you need. If not go down to the dealership and ask them they will show you what you want to know at the parts desk and tell them you can do it yourself if you can just find the damn thing.

If I'm not mistaken they are usually under the dash pretty much in the center just to the right of the steering column. it should be either a silver or silver gray box about 3" square. Have someone try the switch while your under the dash to locate it ...........or Better still Just go to .....www.freeautomechanic.com................Jaxer will hook you up with all the facts on your car !
