Imagine if you are the only person who is actually existing, and everyone and everything around you is an illusion. How would you prove or disprove this? Or what if you are a part of someone's dream, and when they wake up is when you fall asleep. Ponder that one.

If I am the only person exist that simply impossible. Things around is real because it hurts, not because the mind is telling me it hurts, its because I am feeling it. well for one thing In the East side of the world is Night, the West side is Day! So when all the People in East sleeps, the West side wakes up!

Rene Descartes made this mind experiment famous. Too often, we reduce it to "I think...therefore, I am," but it's actually quite an astounding realization to come to the foundation of what makes us human. That we can think or imagine ourselves as the only person alive is a testament to our species' capacity and beauty.

To answer your question though, I don't think I would try to prove or disprove it. I'd rather just think about it.

this question has been pondered for a long long time.. basically the only thing we can be 100% certain of is our own existance.. "I think therefore I am".. I don't know you exist.. I don't even know my own body exists.. I could be in a machine like in the Matrix.. but I know my consciousness exists because of my awareness..

that being said, I am 99.99999% certain that I'm not the only person who exists..

I suddenly feel very lonely and isolated. Twenty seconds ago I felt loved and valued by other people, but now I feel like I am the only person in a vast and cold universe.

Sadly...I am the only one who will see this email...you don't even exist.

If either of those conditions was my reality, and I knew no other, I would not be able to prove or disprove my existence. I would have only an "I am this" and no frame of reference to say "I am this or that".

I had that kind of run-a-round in my own mind for a short time. So i envisioned it to be perfect with a imperfect subject called Evathevirgin. However, at the out come of our digested intercourse, a new emotion erupts within my heart and paradise goes bye, bye.

Wow, we have only been discussing this for a week now.
It's called solipsism, we've already hashed it all out.

It can't be disproven. Neither can an invisible pink unicorn. It's completely irrelevant.

If I am the only person and you are all my imaginings, then firstly I need a better imagination, and secondly, I need to stop being so masochistic.
