I am not talking about about Wiccan or any other form of worship a am referring to being a witch. I know you choose how to worship but can you deny the feeling of being connected as a witch?

Of course. There are some people come here just seem to know how to direct their lifeforce to do certain things.

I did. I began dowsing the walls for 2 X 4s and electric wiring when I was 3 years old. I began hearing the spirits talking to me when I was 5, and when I was 7; a distant relative taught me how to do magick with the power of my mind.

I too come from both Irish and Native backgrounds, and I have embraced Witchcraft into my life (and just to point out to those who are still confused, Wicca and Witchcraft are two SEPARATE things). I believe that a person can be Naturally a Witch. Discovering the ability to be a healer and use herbs properly, or naturally being psychic or something like that can be associated with a Natural Witch, their power comes from within themselves and isn't learned from someone else. If you feel drawn to Witchcraft, do some research. Reading on this subject does not a Witch make unless you truly embrace it into your life and want it to be a part of your life. It is truly life changing and wonderful to be a part of, in my opinion. Contact these relatives (if still alive and communicable) and talk to them about your interest in the Craft. They may have some better advice than any of the people here.

Good luck on your search, hun
Hugs

You cannot be a "natural Wiccan" any more than you could be a "natural Christian".

Witch
The practice of witchcraft is not associated with any religion, therefore you can be a witch and yet also be a member of any number of religions (or none). Using the natural energies within yourself, along with the energies of herbs, stones or other elements to make changes around you is considered witchcraft. Though the skills and gifts that are part of witchcraft can be inherited from parents or grandparents, you aren't automatically a witch just because your grandmother may have been one. The use of magick takes practice, experience and learning. On a side note, a male witch is called a witch, not a warlock.

Yes there is such a thing as a natural born witch, I am. I've been practicing the craft sinse i was old enough to walk and noticed at an early age that Icould see auras in people. Ilater found the Wiccan religion. However don't confuse this with hereditary witches they are taught not born with it.

I am a natural witch myself. I understand what you mean whenever you say you feel drawn to the craft. Like it was always meant for you to follow. The path of the witch is a hard one sometimes. People will say cruel things to you but you must remember that they are probably not comfortable in their own beliefs. I follow my beliefs and what is the most comfortable to me. I follow the kitchen witch path because it suits me. I am a wife of an Odinist. I keep the balance in my family. You should do more exploring into this. I think you will find that you have chosen the right path if it is calling out to you.

Wow! I am amazed by the number of positive responses you have received! I believe it is possible to be a natural witch, runs in my family too. my mother being the grand-daughter of a Comanche Medicine Man and my Dad is Scottish. I follow that path, Pecti-Witan, Hedge Witch.
I would suggest you get Scott Cunningham's book "Wicca, a Guide for the Solitary Practitioner". That will give you information to get started on your path.
If it is meant to be it is of no use to try to put it out of your mind, you must embrace it and realize that it is a very positive thing.
Not all witches are Wiccan, and we are not offended by being called what we are, witches. To most of us it is not a derogatory term. At least I am not ashamed to say that I am a witch, I have no grandiose impression of myself!
Good luck in your quest.

I'm going to assume that you mean a "natural" witch as in "a witch who has a strong connection to the natural world" rather than someone who is "naturally" a witch.

That said, virtually all witches can be considered "natural". Magick is a "natural" way to change the world. Everyone does it all the time in the way they perceive the world, the things they do to change it, and so on. However, witches who try to say that they're "natural witches" often simply try to have a stronger tie to the Earth, usually venerating some aspect of Gaia, unlike other witches who venerate anyone from Aphrodite to Shiva to Odin.

However, as I noted before, all witches are "natural", using things that come from the earth to help fuel their subconciousness and magick, from crystals, to incenses, from resins to oils, all things that can be considered to naturally come "from the Earth".

I've found most people with this drawing tend to fall into a type of witchcraft religion. I'd always been interested in witchcraft, and done small things before falling into a blend of wicca. Maybe just try learning about it, rather than trying to put it out of your head...

I know exactly how you feel. My mum's side of the family has strong connection to what would be called witchcraft. Long story short, there are strong connection's to the spirit world and the like thanks to my mum's heritage. I've always been attracted to such things such I was little, and it wasn't until i was older that my mum told me why she kept me away from graveyards and tarot cards and other things like that. What I'm trying to say is that it is possible to be naturally born to witchcraft and its many relatives.

There's no such thing as a natural witch. Sometimes magic just comes more easily to some than to others. If it comes more easily to you, then you're lucky. If you're drawn to it, then by all means, practice it.
