The best course to do is Master Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Designer as it is recognised by the IT/Web design world. You can do it through Computeach but it costs several thousand!! ICS do the same course but for about £750 but you have to pay for exams on top.

Hope this helps!

I would suggest a course that deals with web design and content. It should includes, but not limited to:-

1/ html
2/ javascript
3/ php )
4/ asp ) client server handling
5/ my sql or ms sql
6/ website layout
7/ css (custom style sheets)
8/ dreamweaver software that will allow you to create webpages with minimal coding

this is based on some research that I have done in trying to find the right course for me to do in Jamaica. I am sure that there are other stuff that I might have missed.

you might find that one course might not have all that you need to learn so you have to possible do more than one course.

If you want to do an online course, Visiontolearn.com have an online course which will give you a tutor located at a college, assign you work and mark your work. You can contact other students via their site as well as the tutor or you can phone the tutor. It leads to an NVQ qualification

u might wanna extend your sentence? what is sixth form 3yrs? and what is ITC? ok then thanks for the additional information.

For online tutorials (which are freaking AWESOME!)..

www.lynda.com
www.totaltraining.com

i use lynda to get my feet wet and totaltraining to be a beast!

now on the other hand, you need a community to see whats going on in the business (market trend)

www.teamphotoshop.com
www.photoshopcafe.com

you might always want to get your hands on photography, get an SLR camera and take a photography class, go out and take pictures, and see how u can improve on them.

Goodluck.

They do lots of courses in our local library, have you tried somewhere like that?

If not then just try some tutorials online
