Well being attracted to a person is important at the beginning just to bring you both together.. but after the long run it will count more how the person is on the inside.. how they treat other people and how they treat you.. You wouldn't want to be with someone who is attractive but a horrible person, plus you would want to find someone who will be good to your kids.

Hmmm .... You are parents. Do leave the question to be answered by the young man / woman who will have to live with the A or B type person you pick up.

A - Beautiful but arrogant / proud *add any other negative quality you want to*

B - Not so attractive but good

Parents forget that what attracts them need not necessarily attract their children.

Parents - Educate your children. Teach them. Instill Values and Morals in them and then TRUST them to make the right choice. If you cant do that, then you have failed as parents.

If you have not taught your children the difference between the vices and the good - you have failed as parents.

You have NOT failed as parents if you cannot find them a beautiful match!

Good luck to you and I hope you have brought up a self thinking, self confident child who is mature enough to make life's choices and live by it.

You should give importance to this matter .... the young people want to be happy with each other, and if one feels that the other should please hide behind a screen, that is not good. It makes for many stomach aches and great expenditures for masala chai.

If both are good looking, young, healthy and take good care of themselves, then all will be happy. The children will be good looking and a credit to the family and the society in general. Why do anything else? What would you want? To be happy! All want to be happy.

Namaste!

None. A person's personality and ethics should be more important that how someone looks. Besides, looks are fleeting, and in this day and age, how many really good looking people out there have had surgery?

While purchasing an Ox/Buffalo their number of teeth are seen, on the basis of which their age can be accessed. Look is as important as the counting of teeth for reckoning of age and not more than that.

No one should raise themselves or their children to be accepting of people only by the way others look. In doing so you are raising beliefs of prejudices.
Prejudice runs along with racism.
We need to start believing in accepting people for who they are regardless of how they look.
My three children are bi-racial, black and white. All their friends are from every ethnic background. they include your typical hip-hop thug, skate boarder, prep, gothic, etc....
They all accept one another for the person they are.
Which is creating a better world for our neighborhood.
