I have my periods on the 8th of every month, it last for 7 days, so basically it ends on the 15th. When is the best time to try for a baby?

So does this mean your cycles are about 30-31 days long? Or are they more 28 days long. You can only conceive aroound acouple of days before and on the day of ovulation. In general terms this is about 14 days before you start your next period. So you would have missed it this cycle. But if you go on the next one, eg, you are due on 8 April, then on average you will ovulate around the 25 March. However, everyone is different, not everyone ovulates mid-cycle.

Your best chance is to maybe chart your basa body temperature. This shows a slight rise in your temperature just after you ovulate, or you can use an ovulation predictor kit, which tells you when you are about to ovulate. They can be expensive though.

Good luck!

The ovulation usually occurs on the 15th day and varies if your cycle is short or long. I suggest, try after 4 days, when your period ends and if possible try every alternate day (great if you can try everyday, improves your chances of getting preg.).
The sperm can stay active for 3-4 day inside, hence, better the chances of conceiving. Keep on trying atleast ten days.

Repeat the process every month for 4-6 months. If not succesfull, then please go to a fertility specialist, there could be ovulation problem (eggs not getting ovulated properly) or a weak sperm problem. whatever the case, it can be corrected with ease. If you are under 30, it should not be a problem, however, if you are over 30, please visit the specialist in 3 months.

Good Luck.
I am 30+ and proud mother of 1 and the 2nd one on the way.

When you say you have your periods on the 8th of every month I don't believe that. No woman has her periods on the same day every month. Generally speaking, most women have a 28 day cycle-but many have a 30 day and even 32 or 35 day cycle. You ovulate almost always 14 days BEFORE you expect your period to start. So this is what you do: chart your cycle this month. Count how many days are in your cycle. For instance if your period starts on March 8th then count how many days go by until you get your next period. If you get it on April 5th then you have a 28 day cyle and you ovulated on March 22nd. Then you can try conceiving in April based on that knowlege-probably around April 21st. You should have sec on the 20th, 21st and 22nd to maximize your chances. Adjust all these dates based on the length of your cycle. Good luck!

I recently had a miscarriage, and naturally, wanted to try again..ASAP. My ob said to have intercourse at least 3 times between days 11 & 16 of your cycle. If you dont know what that is ( I didnt before) - count the first day of your period as day 1 - then count 11 -16 days out. These are the days you should have sex. If you pay VERY close attention to your body, you can tell when you ovulate...we women have a clear stretchy mucus at ovulation time. This helps the sperm reach the egg. There is a very small window in which the sperm has to meet the egg, 12-24 hours. But since the sperm can survive a long time (5-7 days) in us, chances are pretty good.
Being the sceptic I am, i had sex 6 times within the window my doctor refered and i am now prego....decided in Feb we wnted to try and now in March I am prego

Most women ovulate 14 days before they start their next period. I, on the other hand, ovulate on day 9 so we were missing the boat for a while. It's important for you to find out when you ovulate. I suggest getting an ovulation monitor (Clear Blue Easy makes one, although it's a bit pricey). Or you could use the disposable fertility sticks. Once you know when you're ovulating, make love every other day starting a few days before you ovulate and at least a few days after you ovulate. Good luck honey.

If your periods are regular every month then your best time would be on the 21st or 22nd of each month, good luck and baby dust to you since you will be trying in 16 days!

in your case, 18th to 28th will be d rite time and 22nd being d most fertile day. precisely it is the 10th to th 18th day of the menstural cycle that are considered fertile and 14th day being the mast fertile.
