Usually when one of mine sheds i wait a full day at least. For example, if one of mine sheds thursday morning I will feed it on Friday night. 24 hours is basically enough time for everything to sit right with the snake after a shed and its always best to feed in the evening.

I feed mine the next day after a shed cuz most of the time its been awhile since they have eaten caused from there shed cycle. As soon as I know My girl is gonna go into her shed cycle I will feed her a small snack tiny mouse to hold her over the ten days or longer for her to shed. then the next day I will give her a larger rrat...I have a calender like you get from a bank for free and I keep track of everything.when she poo's when she eats when she sheds.that way you dont have to guess when she last ate and it will help you me if she becomes sick....look up trouble shooting guide to ball pythons. but getand keep your snake on a scheduale keep in mind sometimes they will just stop eating at certin times of the year mostly mateing time or if they are stressed. so keep a record it will help you in the end.

With my snakes, I have found that once they have gone potty they are usually hungry. Shedding makes no difference to them, so you should stick to your usual routines...he'll be fine. Its only if he looks like he's about to shed (milky eyes, cloudy skin) that you shouldn't handle him until after he's shed. Snakes will feed when they're about to shed if they're hungry. So just continue to feed him as you were before he shed. Good luck, and congrats on owning the best kind of pet ever- reptiles!

Shedding is a regular occurance as the snake grows. Do not change his feeding schedule.

Your snakes' feeding schedule is up to you. If you monitor him/her for long enough, his/her activity will let you know when it is hungry. Also, if you want it to grow fast, offer food more often. Vise-versa on slow growth. I wait at least a week before I consider a next feeding. A shed is strenuous and leaves them weak.

feed him about 3 days after he has shed, because he needs time for his skin to dry, which will leave him weak
