Not as a final answer about someone's personality.

What they measure is not one's personality but one's test taking skills and their willingness to take the personality test. They're only as accurate as the answers the person gives, and there's no way to ensure that the person doesn't fake it.

But even if YOU are taking it, and you know you're telling the truth there are problems. Depending on the test it may ask questions for which there is no correct answer, and other problems.

Trained therapists can sometimes use them to zero in on treatment issues to be addressed, but the tests themselves are just a tool, not a diagnosis or a solution... even though some therapists say they are.

They are quite accurate but not totally. I believe there are many sides to people. Human personality is inconsistent and personality tests cannot tell every side of a human personality. But they can distinguish simple and deep-rooted traits.

No. My mood swings a lot, so when I take one of those tests, it only tells how I feel at that particular time. This, I believe is the problem with such tests.

If you answer it honestly it really works. Some people answer it dishonestly based of how they would like to be and not how there are really like. You need to answer it how you really are and stop being in denial about certain things.
