the problem is the way that the oil is chambered through the middle east. There are serious geological issues in using nukes in Iraq that could damage the entire region and its supply of oil.

The war on terror is not a traditional war. Now with terror 'cells' and groups of people fighting and not having any knowledge of who what and where, we cannot cut off a head so to speak.

The 'terror war' has many heads. Cut off one and a new one will replace it.

When you are fighting what has become known as radical fundamentalists, who will kill many innocent people indiscriminantly, you have to be careful. Drop 'the' bomb in Iraq and you might find 5 dirty bombs go off in North America and Europe.

I think a war that remains relatively conventional (even though I am aware that convention has changed) will do just fine.

I do not want to wake up to see a mushroom cloud over New York, or read about a viral attack in the Toronto Subway system.

Guns and tanks on foreign soil? Works for me.

Wow, just wow.

You are advocating killing possibly millions of innocent people and leaving a lasting nuclear waste land that will continue to poison generations to come.

It didn't hurt them??
The initial bombing killed 250,00 people the majority of which were civilians. In the years following (calculated up until 1990) thousands of deaths in Japan have been attributed to radiation poisoning.

Japans enjoys higher cancer rates then most nations,
Saying that Japan is unaffected is a gross misstatement, almost half a century after the becoming people are still suffering the ill effects of radiation.

*nuclear material can take thousands - millions of years to break down

Oh come on, we've come a long way since WWII. Don't we have like, neutron bombs that kill people but leave everything untouched?

I know it makes me evil, but one or two of those would make them crap their pants and realize what they are messing with....
