Only way to win against guerilla warfare is to convince the people you're trying to help that you're not their enemy. Blowing up their cities and shooting them while they drive to work in the morning because they don't stop doesn't project this mentality.

What war on terror? The 911 guys all died.
We started a war against Iraq and were very lucky that they did not fight back.
The only way to really win is to vote out the Republicans and New Labour at the next elections.

The War on Terror is probably a bad name. It will never be resolved until the underlying problems are resolved. Plus WWII was a total war with lots of collateral damage. The war on terror is very unbalanced with terrorists aiming at collateral damage because they are softer than military targets.

If we would allow ourselves to use overwhelming force like we did in WWII and every war prior to that, we could end the war on terrorism with a few pushes of a button.

The war on this kind of terror will never end. Today we've got
people worshiping so many gods it isn't funny. When it comes
to Iraq they believe that the more they kill the better their chance
of pleasing their god. Pretty screwed up if you ask me.
